The 304Y high performance butterfly valve has a distinctive "J" shaped PTFE seat ring which does not detract from the rigidity of the valve mechanism, yet provides a more user friendly torque profile – but without sacrificing durability or leak tightness. In common with its stable companion, the 302Y, this valve complies with face-to-face ISO5752 and ISO5211 mounting flange requirements.
The 300 series is optimal for applications that cannot be handled by valves with rubber seats because of the temperature, pressure, fluid velocity or fluid itself. Two types are available: the 302Y with a metal seat for steam line applications and the 304Y with a Teflon seat for chemical line applications.
